Maritime Conference Gothenburg

Location Gothenburg, Sweden

The conference was jointly organised by the Interreg IV A Öresund-Kattegat-Skagerrak Programme and IV B North Sea Region Programme. The conference brought together stakeholders from both programmes, including administrations, politicians, business and innovation organisations, NGOs and research institutions, dealing with maritime issues.

The two day conference provided the opportunity to learn and exchange views about cooperation across our joint seas, the two programmes and their maritime aspects. Innovation, sustainable environmental management and accessibility were the key elements of the conference.

Policy topics were, amongst others, the maritime Blue Book and the European maritime transport policy until 2018. Keynote speakers, programme representatives, project managers and moderators were around throughout the conference for exchange, information and discussions. A partner search was organised to bring together project idea holders and interested potential partners.

The programme of the conference can be found here.
