The North Sea Region Programme 2007-2013 works with regional development projects around the North Sea. Promoting transnational cooperation, the Programme aims to make the region a better place to live, work and invest in. Read more about the Programme here.

Web Videos A number of videos have been made, documenting the work and results of the Interreg IIIB North Sea Programme. They depict strong projects in the programme as well as the issues addressed by the Programme. Each video is approximately 10 minutes long and it provides the viewer with an overview of the project featured, its results and outcomes. A more detailed article about the web video project can be found here. So far, the following projects have been documented in a web video: - LoG-IN
It aims to turn local governments into stronger players in the local economy, by making use of e-government and e-services, and by improving public-private interaction in the partner regions. - NMC II
This project aims to develop an intermodal transport system for a maritime route from the Barents region along the Norwegian coast to the core of Europe. - NS RURAL
It aims to stimulate the positive development of rural areas, through improving levels of social services, improving public transport and securing economic activity in rural areas.
- POWER
This is one of 70 approved projects in the North Sea Programme. It aims to boost the development of off-shore wind energy in the participating coastal regions.
- Safety at Sea
This project aims to harmonise risk management strategies regarding maritime safety in the North Sea region.
- SmartLIFE
The project will deliver networked business centres in the participating regions with a focus on sustainable construction methods, as well as good practice models that can be exported.
- STORMRISK
It aims to develop long-term strategies for risk management in the timber industry, minimising the economic effects of storm damaged woods.
- Water City International II
It aims to improve urban water systems in order to make the partner regions more attractive for residents as well as visitors, this way stimulating the economies of the partner regions.
