The Water Framework Directive (WFD) and the Floods Directive (FD) are important guidelines for water managers. To disseminate information and prepare future water managers, the Hamburg SKINT team organizes a summer course on “The Water Framework Directive and the Sustainable Management of Water Resources”. Students from Hamburg as well as international students are welcome to participate in the course and learn about the implementation of the WFD. Presentations will be given by experts from different countries in the EU to ensure an international perspective when it comes to WFD implementation. Furthermore students will get the chance to gather hands-on experiences during a field-trip.

The course will be a timely contribution towards efforts in the internationalisation, networking and cultural interaction among the participating students.

Participation is free of charges, however a binding registration is necessary due to the limited number of places.
