The Joint Transnational Conference 2011 held last month in Katowice, Poland, was attended by more than 500 people from all over Europe.

The event took outset in results and outcomes from the current 13 programmes and the hundreds of projects being implemented to discuss the future of transnational cooperation.

The Joint Transnational Conference will now hold a follow-up workshop at the Open Days on 12 October in Brussels.

The workshop will present the conference and main outcomes of the event and discuss the future potential for transnational cooperation in light of the EU 2020 Strategy.
