On October 7th and 8th, 2010, the European project Vital Rural Area hold its second International Policy Forum on Regional Development in the Legoland Hotel at Billund (DK). Central theme 2010: innovation and involvement in regions in transition.

More than 100 participants from 6 European countries attended the forum, listened to the speeches of two keynote speakers and participated in the eight workshops. On October 8th, 2010, the attendees visited the Danish village of Hovborg (presentation of development projects by local citizens) and the Innovations Hus at Roedding, a place for SMEs to receive business advice.
