The Smart Cities Project was presented in Berlin at the European Local Government Conference on ICT and Local Government transformation in Europe, organised by Vitako (the Association of German Public ICT Providers) and Major Cities of Europe.
Dave Fitch from Edinburgh Napier introduced the project to attendees, setting out what the project and project partners are doing and highlighting some of the project's key interests, including customer contact centers, customer profiling, channel swap, organisational change/process improvement, transnationality/mainstreaming, and the development of a prototype EU service list.
There was a great deal of interest in the project, and attendees were particularly interested in how they would be able to use the project's transnational outputs in their cities.
