The Steering Committee No 4 approved 14 project applications during the meeting on 9-10 June in Edinburgh, UK. Seven project applications were rejected.
All 21 submitted applications passed the initial eligibility check made by the Secretariat and were presented to the Steering Committee for decision. Of the 21 applications, 18 were new and 3 were applications for extensions of already approved projects.
Lead Beneficiaries to receive letter
All Lead Beneficiaries will receive a letter with the decision of the Steering Committee within the next days.
For the first time projects were approved under the areas of intervention 2.1 and 3.1, further broadening the thematic range of projects under the current Programme. More information about the approved projects will follow as soon as the respective Lead Beneficiaries have been informed about the Steering Committee decision.
Following the meeting, approximately 70% of the total ERDF funding and 73% of the Norwegian ERDF equivalent has been allocated.
Fifth Call for Applications postponed
The next Call for Applications is expected to be postponed until 2010. The decision about the dates will be taken at the next Monitoring Committee in October 2009.
