The Steering Committee approved 12 project applications at their meeting on the 3rd and 4th of December in Copenhagen. All in all, 22 applications were discussed and 10 of them were rejected by the Committee. All Lead Beneficiaries will receive a letter about the outcomes of their application within the next days.

High quality of applications
The Steering Committee emphasised the high quality level of the applications received: Most applicants followed an overall transnational approach and took the requirements of the 2007-2013 Programme into account. The Committee also recognised a paradigm shift towards truly transnational investments, aiming at a clear transnational added value.

Following this meeting 51% of the total ERDF funding has now been allocated.

Next Calls for Applications
In addition, the dates for the 5th Call for Applications were set at the meeting: The call will be open from the 14th of September to the 16th of October 2009. The 4th Call for Applications will be open from the 2nd to the 30th of March 2009.

Please note: There will be a new application form for the 4th call. The application forms from the previous calls will therefore no longer be applicable. Detailed information about the new procedure and materials will be available towards the opening of the call.
