About the seminar
The main objective of this seminar is to learn about and discuss the challenges of the North Sea region in terms of energy, which is a cross-sectional issue within the North Sea Region Programme 2007-2013.

Another objective is to find out about the possibilities the new programme has to contribute to tackling these challenges through transnational cooperation projects within the North Sea region.

It will also be possible to discuss existing as well as new project ideas during the seminar in terms of their specific contribution towards policy aims, impacts for the whole North Sea region and lasting results.

Background
The seminar builds on the debates about tackling climate change and the dependency on energy resources, in particular the increase of energy prices and the price of oil.
