A seminar for German project partners and first level controllers will be held in Hamburg, Germany, on 26 September. The presentation “Verfahrensabläufe und Anforderungen” is now available online.

The North Sea Region Programme project DC Noise launch conference will take place in the Netherlands on October 8th. It is one of the first projects of the 2007-2013 Programme.

The updated programme for the Energy Seminar in Aberdeen is now online. The transnational cooperation seminar will be held on 23 September. Registration will close Friday 12 September.

A leaflet about political backing as an essential factor for successful Interreg projects is now available for download. Politicians and policy makers are key people to ensure the lasting impact of a project and the leaflet provides insight about how to attract their interest in projects.  

As a general rule state aid is not given under the North Sea Region Programme. This implies that the activities of a project do not distort competition i.e. give the beneficiaries an unfair competitive advantage. This is the case whether or not the beneficiaries are operating on an open market.

The third Call for Applications for the North Sea Region Programme 2007-2013 is now open.

The call will run from Monday 1st September until and including Monday 29th September 2008. The call is open for all 4 priorities including all 14 areas of intervention.

The registration for the Transnational Cooperation Seminar on Energy is now ongoing. The seminar will take place on the 23 September 2008 in Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre, Aberdeen, UK.

The North Sea Region Programme Secretariat is looking for an experienced student for a six month contract, beginning in October 2008. The deadline for submitting applications is 31st of August 2008.

A set of Programme logos for use by projects and other stakeholders are now available online through the Programme website. They can be downloaded in a number of versions and sizes, to fit different purposes.

Following Steering Committee 1 and 2, there are a total of 17 approved projects under the North Sea Region Programme. A list of the projects under each area of intervention is now available as a download.

The IIIB North Sea Programme is inviting interested media professionals in web video production to submit quotations for phase two of a highly successful web video project.

The Annual Conference 2008 took place 11-13 June in Herning, Denmark. Presentations from the different sessions of the event as well as 5 minute videos covering the main events of each day of the conference are available through the Programme website.

The Project Idea Book 2008 is now available as a download. It is a compilation of project ideas submitted to the Programme Secretariat as a first step to develop projects under the Programme.

The final version of the Programme for the Joint Annual Conference and General Assemblies 2008 is now available as a download.

Steering Committee meeting No. 2 took place on May 27 and 28 in Copenhagen, Denmark. 28 applications were tabled and the Steering Committee approved 15 of these.

The INTERACT Point Vienna is looking to recruit new staff members. Application deadline is 12 of June.

An updated Programme for the Annual Conference 2008 is now available.

The NMU (Northern Maritime University) project is set to be the first under the IVB Programme to hold its Launch Conference. The event will take place 29-31 of May in Kirkwall on the Orkney Islands, Scotland.

The new Fact Sheet on Sub-Partners is now finalised and ready as a download in the Document Library section of the Programme website.

In preparation for the Annual Conference 2008 of the Programme, participants are invited to submit project ideas in line with the Operational Programme. The deadline for submitting ideas has been extended to the 16th of May.
