A leaflet about political backing as an essential factor for successful Interreg projects is now available for download. Politicians and policy makers are key people to ensure the lasting impact of a project and the leaflet provides insight about how to attract their interest in projects.

As a general rule state aid is not given under the North Sea Region Programme. This implies that the activities of a project do not distort competition i.e. give the beneficiaries an unfair competitive advantage. This is the case whether or not the beneficiaries are operating on an open market.

The third Call for Applications for the North Sea Region Programme 2007-2013 is now open. The call will run from Monday 1st September until and including Monday 29th September 2008. The call is open for all 4 priorities including all 14 areas of intervention.

The Annual Conference 2008 took place 11-13 June in Herning, Denmark. Presentations from the different sessions of the event as well as 5 minute videos covering the main events of each day of the conference are available through the Programme website.
