Registration for the Transnational Cooperation Seminar on Integrated Regional Development, to be held 20-21 of January in Leeuwarden, is now closed.

An updated list of approved projects is now available for download. There are a total of 28 approved projects under the North Sea Region Programme following Steering Committee meeting no 3.

The Northern Maritime Corridor (NMC) project is among the finalists of the RegioStars Awards 2009, DG Regio recently announced on their website.

INTERACT has published the first issue of its new newsletter. The thematic focus of this issue lies on the closure of Interreg programmes around Europe.

The Steering Committee approved 12 project applications at their meeting on 3rd and 4th of December in Copenhagen. All Lead Beneficiaries will receive a letter about the outcomes of their application within the next days.

The outcomes of the Mini Call for Publicity are now available online. A new section on the IIIB website presents the approved projects, their activities and the communications and publicity materials produced as a result of the Mini Call funding.

Project ideas can now be uploaded directly to the Programme website. A new feature has been added to the Users Area allowing users to submit their project ideas online.

The Danish Enterprise and Construction Authority organised a theme day on the North and Baltic Sea Region Programmes and Interreg IVC. The event took place 30 October in Copenhagen.

The North Sea Region Programme will organise a Transnational Cooperation Seminar on Declining and Expanding Areas in the North Sea Region, 20-21 January 2009 in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands.

Interreg IVA Øresund is looking to recruit new staff members. Application deadline is 14 of November at noon.

The European Commission has formally approved the Annual Report 2007 for the North Sea Programme 2000-2006.

The NSRP leaflet “Making Transnational Projects Really Count – A Political Perspective” was mentioned as a good practice example at the recent Open Days 2008 in Brussels.

Following a decision made at Monitoring Committee Meeting No. 3, the 4th Call for Applications will be postponed to March 2 - 30, 2009.

The North Sea Region Programme Secretariat in Viborg, Denmark is looking for two Project Development Officers to join the team. The closing date for submitting applications is 14 November 2008.

The Secretariat has been informed of the recent and sudden death of the former Maritime Safety Umbrella Operation co-ordinator Eric Louis Melenec.  

The Third Call for Applications is now closed. A total of 22 applications were submitted to the Secretariat.

The Transnational Cooperation Seminar on Energy was held on 23 September in Aberdeen, UK. The presentations given at the seminar are now available for download.
