13 Cluster Ideas have been submitted for consideration by the Monitoring Committee. It is still possible to hand in ideas as input for the Cluster Projects Development Workshop on 13 and 14 October in Bremen, Germany.

The Northern Maritime University (NMU) was invited to give a presentation on the topic of the international university network for innovative education and R&D and to attend the panel discussion for International Education Cooperation by He Mingke the dean of the Graduate School, professor of Business School of Beijing Technology and Business University of China (BTBU), and vice director of Teaching Guiding Committee for Logistics Education of Ministry of Education of China. The discussion took place in the frame of the 2010 Annual Educators’ Conference on Logistics Education in Changsha from July 26 to August 4, 2010.

On September 3 and 4, the NMU partner University of Applied Sciences Bremen invites to the 4th Bremer Shipping Congress. The conference 2010 focusses on “Lifelong Learning – human resources development in the maritime industry”. The NMU project is involved in the organisation and project partner Thomas Pawlik will be chairing the first day of the conference. Furthermore, the NMU will be present with an exhibition stall, too.
