Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre was buzzing June 25 - 26, as 400+ members of the North Sea Region family met to discuss perspectives for the future at the North Sea Conference 2014.

The tender documents for the new North Sea Region Programme online monitoring system and website/ CMS have been published on the Official Journal of the European Union.

The final draft Cooperation Programme has been sent for internal member state consultation and is now available online.

Stakeholders are invited to present in open sessions at the upcoming North Sea Conference 2014, 25-27 June. The sessions will take place on Thursday of 26 June. Deadline to submit applications has been extended to 14 May!

The public consultation on the 2014 - 2020 draft Operational Programme and Strategic Environmental Assessment is now open. 

The 10th Call for Applications for projects under the North Sea Region Programme is now closed. Thirteen applications were submitted.

The e-harbours project has come to an end. The aim of e-harbours is to explore the possibilities for large-scale implementation of smart energy
networks, specifically through four pillars of energy optimisation: Renewable energy, Energy effeciency, Electric mobility and stability for the energy  networks. Now we are happy to present the project findings after our three and a half years of work.

iTransfer partner, SEStran hosted a workshop for partners to discuss their experiences and discuss new ideas on ferry landing design in North Berwick on 10 December.

The 10th call for project applications is now open for already approved projects of the Programme. 

North Sea Fish is more than half way through! Since the start in September 2012 the successful and fruitful partnership has delivered various tangible results, that support all North Sea Fish partners to increase the innovative capacity of their fishery ports and regions. A challenging transition takes place!

The 6 North Sea Fish partners are cooperating for more than a year now. They have been busy with studies and implementing the insights in their daily practice in the ports. Several network meetings and conferences were organised to promote sustainable fisheries in the North Sea Region and disseminate lessons and insights to other stakeholders.

Kent County Council (KCC) has released a ferry tender for a passenger ferry from Gravesend to Tilbury. The ferry service is supported by KCC and Thurrock Council.

The North Sea Conference 2014 will be held 25-27 June in Aberdeen, Scotland.

The Tenth Call for Applications will be open from 17 February to 17 March 2014.
