Conference and Exhibition on Transnational Cooperation in Brussels
How does transnational cooperation contribute to territorial cohesion policy within the European Union and specifically the North Sea Region? What are the main challenges and future requirements for a new programming period beyond 2013?
These and other relevant issues will be addressed during the conference "step ahead", organized by the Northern German federal states of the North Sea Region Programme area. Practical examples of territorial cooperation from the North Sea Region will be complemented by keynotes and a roundtable discussion on the future of transnational cooperation.
During an informal get-together following the event, delegates will also have the opportunity to visit a new exhibition illustrating various examples of transnational cooperation in the North Sea Region. The exhibition will be open to the public from November 21 to December 04, 2011.
The Minister for Food, Agriculture, Consumer Protection and Regional Development of Lower Saxony, Germany, Mr. Gert Lindemann, will give the opening keynote speech. Other delegates will include representatives from the European Commission and European Parliament as well as project partners and representatives of the regions.
